Becky is the Assistant Dean of the University of California, Irvine School of Social Sciences. As the school’s senior-ranking staff member, she oversees planning, operations and management for one of the top 50-ranked social sciences schools in the nation.
Becky’s professional experience crosses into the public and nonprofit sectors and includes stints as the Executive Director of the Los Angeles City Ethics Commission, Chief Operating Officer for the Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands, Assistant Dean for the UCI School of Law, and Senior Associate Dean for Administration and Finance at the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
Active in the community, Becky currently also serves on the boards of Democracy 21, and the USC Center for Communication Leadership and Policy. In the past her board service has included the National Governing Board of Common Cause, the Southern California ACLU, the Los Angeles League of Women Voters, and the Public Law Center of Orange County.
Becky is a University of California alumna who earned her bachelor’s in political science and an emphasis in international relations at the Santa Barbara campus. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Washington where she was an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow.
